Plasma fibroblast is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment that uses a device to create a small plasma arc. The arc makes tiny controlled micro-injuries on the surface of the skin, which prompt the skin's natural healing response. We offer it for the lines on the top lip and the marionette lines that run from the corners of the mouth towards the chin. What the treatment involves Consultation: We assess your skin, talk through what you'd like to address and whether the treatment suits you, and explain the risks and aftercare. Preparation: We cleanse the area and apply a topical numbing cream for comfort during the treatment. Plasma application: The device creates small dots across the surface of the skin, which prompt the skin's healing response. Aftercare: We give you aftercare instructions to support healing. What to expect, including risks Plasma fibroblast works by creating controlled injuries to the skin, so some visible healing is part of the process. Things to expect and consider include: Downtime: Swelling, redness and small scabs are common and usually settle within about 7 to 10 days. Infection: As with any treatment that breaks the skin, there's a risk of infection at the treated sites. Pigment changes and scarring: There's a risk of changes in skin pigmentation and, less commonly, scarring. Suitability: It's not suitable for everyone, including people with darker skin tones (who have a higher risk of pigmentation changes), people with certain medical conditions, and those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
