We offer consultations for people who'd like to talk through non-surgical options for fine lines and wrinkles. In a consultation, our nurse practitioner assesses your facial features, talks through what you'd like to address, explains the options that may be suitable, and goes over the risks, recovery and likely outcomes so you can make an informed decision. What the consultation covers Your goals: We talk through what you'd like to address and check that your expectations are realistic. Suitability: We review your facial features and health history and consider whether a cosmetic treatment is appropriate for you. Some people aren't suitable candidates, including people who are pregnant or breastfeeding or who have certain medical conditions, and we'll tell you if that's the case. Options and risks: We explain the treatments that may suit you, what each one involves, the recovery, and the possible risks and side effects. Any treatment that involves a prescription medicine is decided with you during the consultation, and prescribing follows its own assessment. Next steps: If you decide to go ahead, we plan the treatment and the aftercare with you. Risks All cosmetic treatments carry risks. Depending on the treatment, these can include redness, swelling, bruising or tenderness at the injection sites, and less common effects that we'll explain in your consultation. Some treatments aren't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for people with certain medical conditions. We'll go through the specific risks and recovery for any treatment with you before you decide anything.
